Meanwhile, on the Primary Lab Decks, Dr. Necker and Robert Rider explain the situation to Pegasus Director Gruenwald. They inform him of their actions involving the reboot of the WorldMind and the resurrection of Quasar's energy form. Suddenly, their conversation is interrupted by a holographic form of the WorldMind. He explains that he needs some time to fill in some areas of data he has found missing since his reboot.
Back down in Sub-Corridor 12, Nova and Quasar discuss the quantum hero's return. Quasar explains that the last thing he remembers is fighting with Nova against Annihilus in the Annihilation War. He theorizes that when he attempted to escape Annihilus's brutal attack, he was only able to partly make the quantum jump. As as result, his mind survived while his physical body did not. Rich Rider tells Wendell that they can finish discussing what's happened since the War after they finish fighting the Skrulls. In response, Quasar has Nova form a gravimetric shield around Darkhawk and the Pegasus troops. Once they are safe, the young quantum powered hero unleashes his full power and disintegrates dozens of super-powered Skrulls in a single massive blast!
However, with his power spent, Quasar returns to the Quantum Flask in the lab to recharge. Elsewhere in the lab, the WorldMind is briefed by Dr. Necker. The doctor explains that they extracted the artificial sentience from Nova and have contained it inside an experimental gestalt mainframe. The Xandarian computer recognizes Robert Rider and confirms to him that it is the WorldMind. The hologram begins linking itself to the Project: Pegasus computer systems and learns about the Skrull invasion of Earth. It calls out to Nova who is still fighting on Level 12.
The young hero is overjoyed to discover the WorldMind has been reactivated. He asks the artificial sentience to give him information on the location of the Skrulls. Just as it tells him that the Skrulls are near his location, the alien invaders attack through the floor! In order to help Nova, the WorldMind scans the inventory of Project: Pegasus and chooses a weapon.
In another area of the building, the lights and systems of the Minion Project are activated. The WorldMind uses his advanced systems to take control of the newly awakened Minion robots and powers them with a small portion of the Nova Force. The Minions are deployed and arrive just in time to help Nova and Darkhawk fight back the Skrulls.
As the aliens retreat back to the surface, Nova has the WorldMind close off the levels after they get move through them. The Xandarian computer system informs his former human host that the Skrulls aren't fleeing but are choosing a strategic retreat. Based on the communications from the Skrull commanders, the WorldMind discovers that the Skrulls are going to destroy Project: Pegasus from the air and everyone inside!
However just as the Skrull ship begins its bombardment of the facility, a series of large explosions erupt throughout the attack vehicle! As the glow of the ship's final destruction subsides, Nova looks up to find himself facing five Centurions of the Nova Corps!
