Origin: The Condor belongs to the race of bird people called the Avians who reside in a floating city. He was considered a brilliant scientist until he began using his intelligence for his own evil purposes. Exiled from the Avians, the Condor began to pursue his goal of becoming a crime lord over the humans.

His goals brought him into conflict with the Sphinx and they began a war to control crime. While building weapons for his war, the Condor found the amnesiac Xandarian Rieg Davan who had been searching for Centurion Nova Prime Rhomann Dey and became stranded on Earth. Rescuing Davan and realizing his alien origins, the Condor gave him false memories and convinced him to help fight the Sphinx.

The Condor later recruited Diamondhead and brainwashed Nova into joining the "Terrible Trio". During Nova's time with the Trio, Condor gained access to the Nova Prime Starship and its weaponry. Some time later, the Terrible Trio began their assault on the Sphinx. During the battle, the Sphinx's servant, Kur, attempted to attack the Sphinx but misfired and hit the Condor. As a result, the Condor was left mindless and the Sphinx decided to change him into his namesake, an actual Condor!

At a later time, the Condor flew to the island of Paradise. On the island, he found a group of intelligent animals called the Ani-Mates. The Ani-Mate known as Bird-Brain changed the Condor back into a human but one who retained certain animal attributes.

Nova later fought the Condor when the bird-like human attacked him. During the fight, Nova's girlfriend, Laura Dunham, was injured by an electrical wire. The Condor regained part of his humanity and helped Nova save Laura.

The Condor later considered joining the evil Shadow Consortium. Before he could give them his answer, the Condor decided to attack Nova once again and the Fantastic Four (Reed Richards, in particular). He was once again defeated by Nova and taken into SHIELD custody.

Later, the Avians and Red Raven decided to recover the Condor from prison in order to make him face Avian justice and not the human's. Nova convinces Red Raven and the Avians to break off their attack and leave the Condor to the humans. The Condor continues to be in prison.
