Back on the late Thanos's ship, Moondragon confronts her father, Drax over his murder of Thanos. He simply tells her that he did what he was created to do. She informs him that Thanos was about to free Galactus from his imprisonment and that only he had the power to achieve it. Now, because of Drax's actions, two universes will die.
Drax asks his daughter what Thanos had planned to do. Based on the information she gained through her telepathic abilities, Moondragon leads her father to a modified power cell array which can free Galactus. She reminds Drax that they don't have the power necessary to powering the cells. He tells her that they don't, but someone else does. Thanos's killer journeys inside the containment facility holding Galactus and finds the Silver Surfer who is also being held prisoner. Drax tells Galactus that he will free him if he agrees to protect his daughter. He turns and busts open the Surfer's cell! Carrying the weakened herald of Galactus to the power cell array, Drax tells the Silver Surfer that he must power up the cells or the universe will die. The Surfer releases all his energy into the array and collapses. As the insectoid army closes in on them, suddenly a giant fist crashes through the wall and kills the attackers! Galactus is free and he is angry!
Meanwhile on Hala, the capital planet of the Kree Empire and home of the ruling House Fiyero, Ronan, Super-Skrull and Praxagora fight their way through numerous Kree soldiers on their way to the Fiyero palace. As they get closer to victory, they are suddenly attacked by the Centurions, the elite guard of Annihilus!
Inside the Fiyero palace, the Centurions' leader Ravenous reveals that the House of Fiyero has had a secret agreement with Annihilus from the beginning of the war. In exchange for protection and commerce from Annihilus, the Kree leaders betrayed their troops and set up Ronan's fall from grace. Realizing the betrayal, Ronan is infuriated and destroys the giant doors of the Fiyero palace.
Ravenous confronts the warriors and tells Ronan that if Fiyero hadn't been allies, the Kree would have been eradicated like the Skrulls were. The Super Skrull attacks angrily and the final battle with the House Fiyero and the Centurions begins! The intense fighting continues with Kree warriors and Centurions falling in the path of the Super Skrull and Praxagora. At the same time, Ravenous and Ronan battle each other with unrelenting fury. In a burst of powerful rage, Ronan unleashes the full power of his hammer and crushes the skull of his foe!
The Centurions and the body of Ravenous are suddenly teleported away with only the Kree warriors left to fight. Ronan gives them a choice: stand by him as Kree or surrender as traitors. The warriors choose to stand by Ronan. After the Kree warriors leave, the victorious Ronan confronts the leaders of the House Fiyero and judges them guilty of crimes against the empire. He then proceeds to disintegrate them in a burst of energy!
Ronan walks to a guarded room and enters to find the still form of the Supreme Intelligence. The Supreme Intelligence is the former ruler of the Kree Empire before being struck down by the House Fiyero. The SI's caretakers inform Ronan that, although his body functions, the former ruler is completely brain dead with no hope of recovery. In an act of mercy, Ronan chooses the destroy container holding the Supreme Intelligence which terminates his bodily functions.
Leaving the chamber and going to a balcony to see thousands of Kree chanting his name, Ronan wonders what is to become of the Kree Empire.
